    The Opportunity

    The Communications Executive is responsible for delivering Lancashire Cricket’s digital content strategy across its social media channels, creating engaging and relevant content that drives digital growth and brand awareness.

    The role will lead on short-form video content, particularly across TikTok and Instagram, while staying up to date with emerging social media trends, techniques and platforms. It will combine creative content creation with day-to-day planning and scheduling, while helping to drive commercial return.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Delivering Lancashire Cricket’s digital content and communications strategy alongside the Communications Manager.
    • Managing the Club’s social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, planning and supporter engagement.
    • Creating and publishing engaging content, with a focus on short-form video across TikTok, Instagram and other digital platforms.
    • Developing the social media calendar and staying ahead of emerging trends to drive engagement and brand growth.
    • Creating and promoting content for LancsTV, Emirates Old Trafford and The Hundred, where required.
    • Coordinating internal and external player media activity across men’s and women’s cricket.
    • Monitoring social channels, responding to supporter queries and escalating reputational issues where required.
    • Producing digital performance reports and using insights to improve future content.
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date website content, including proof-reading matchday content.
    • Delivering digital campaigns and content for commercial partners, ensuring rights are fulfilled and activity delivers measurable value and ROI.

    What You’ll Bring

    • A relevant degree (Media, PR, Journalism or similar) and/or 2+ years’ experience in a digitally focused social media or brand role, preferably within sport.
    • A good knowledge and understanding of cricket is desirable, alongside a genuine interest in the sport and its audiences.
    • Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts across multiple platforms, with a strong understanding of current trends.
    • Strong creative flair, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign and Premiere Pro.
    • Experience using Content Management Systems to update websites.
    • A strong team player, able to communicate effectively with players, coaches, external agencies, suppliers and internal teams.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work across multiple platforms, tones of voice and diverse audiences.
    • Experience using social media measurement and reporting tools, with an understanding of how analytics can improve content performance.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office.
