The Opportunity
To support the C&E sales team by responding to all in-coming enquiries to the Conference and Events department, writing proposals, meeting clients and converting bookings ensuring the highest level of customer service at all times. During the latter half of the year, a focus on Christmas bookings will be required in order to deliver the annual sales target for both shared and private festive parties. Some admin and pro-active sales activity may need to be conducted and possibly supporting the coordination team if needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Respond quickly to all incoming sales enquiries, preparing proposals and arranging show-rounds to convert bookings, with a focus on key seasonal sales.
- Manage the full sales process including contracts, deposit invoices, credit checks and payment follow-up.
- Promote the venue proactively to new and existing clients to drive revenue and repeat business.
- Support delivery of the sales strategy, including upselling and sector-specific outbound sales activity.
- Generate and pass new leads to Business Development, Hospitality and Commercial teams.
- Build strong client relationships, follow up post-event and identify future sales opportunities.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the event journey, including meeting clients on event days and resolving complaints professionally.
- Maintain accurate event administration, contracts, databases and booking systems.
- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, conversion data and market insights.
- Support the wider team through meetings, networking events and operational assistance at major events when required.
What You’ll Bring
Working in the Conference & Events team, candidates must have at least two years’ experience of dealing with sales in the Event Industry. You must be able to demonstrate that you are pro-active, sales focused with exceptional standards of customer care.

- Excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines

- Ability to work under pressure
- IT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel. A working knowledge of Delphi FDC would be very useful
