    About Us:

    Lancashire Cricket Club was formed in 1864 and is one of eighteen first class counties within the domestic structure of England and Wales. The Club’s home, Emirates Old Trafford, is an award-winning world-class venue which is recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious and versatile spaces for sport, business, leisure, and entertainment, with the capacity for up to 50,000 concert goers; 26,000 spectators for international cricket and events and meeting spaces that can cater for up to 2,000 attendees. The stadium is home to a 150-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn hotel, which has 85 pitch facing rooms, and an on-site Caffè Nero.

    Role Overview:

    The Lead Bowling Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the performance of all bowlers within the club’s professional squad. This role will focus on technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of bowling, ensuring alignment with the club’s overall playing philosophy and performance objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coach and develop the bowlers across the Men’s professional squad and provide additional support as requested by the Head Coach
    • Working closely with the Head of Talent Pathway and the Pathway Bowling Coach to ensure a good understanding of the bowlers with the potential to impact the professional squad
    • Managing and updating player feedback and analysis with all players on the clubs HIVE learning platform
    • Liaise with the Head Coach, Head of Talent Pathway, medical department, and rest of the coaching team on performance of individual players and their suitability for relevant selections.
    • Collaborate with analysts and sports science teams to optimize workload management and injury prevention.
    • Ensure all coaching practices adhere to ECB guidelines and safeguarding policies.
    • Maintain high professional standards on and off the field.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum UKCC3 coaching qualification (although level 4 would be desirable) or international equivalent
    • Enhanced DBS
    • ECB Coaches Association member
    • Coaching experience within a county pathway or professional team
    • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Strong IT skills preferable
